Project Description
Intense pulsed light
Second‑generation pulsed light (I2PL) is a technology that, thanks to the emission of carefully selected light energy, allows the practitioner to target the desired chromophore without damaging the surrounding tissues.
The IPL light source can emit energy between 390 and 1200 nanometers. A system of filters is used to select only the wavelength appropriate for the desired type of treatment.
Since medical intense pulsed light covers a wide spectrum of wavelengths, it can be used to treat various conditions and skin imperfections:
- angiomas, facial capillaries, couperose–rosacea, telangiectasias
- skin spots
- non‑ablative facial rejuvenation
- non‑ablative rejuvenation of the neck and décolleté
- skin texture improvement and reduction of enlarged pore diameter
- active acne
It is essential to avoid direct sun exposure and UVA lamps for 30 days before and 30 days after the treatment, to prevent overstimulation of melanin and the possible formation of post‑treatment pigmentation spots.
It is also important to protect the skin by using a sunscreen with an SPF higher than 30.
Unlike other dermal fillers (e.g., …) filler all’acido ialuronicopolylactic acid does not produce its soft‑lifting effects immediately after injection: the results appear gradually because this substance stimulates long‑term neocollagen production. The first results become visible only after 4–6 weeks, and to achieve the desired rejuvenation or reshaping effect, 2–6 total treatments may be required (depending on the imperfection being corrected).
As an indication, it is estimated that to achieve an appreciable and satisfactory result, at least 3 sessions are required for the correction of minor facial flaws, and 5 to 6 treatments to restore severe aesthetic alterations (e.g., volumizing the chin and cheekbones).
After a variable period of time ranging from 12 to 30 months, poly-L-lactic acid is completely reabsorbed by the skin: for this reason, the molecule is considered a resorbable biological filler (even though some sources erroneously consider it a semi-permanent filler).
After the treatment, the skin becomes more sensitive and red, symptoms that disappear spontaneously within a few hours.
In some cases, the treated area may show mild to moderate swelling that disappears after a few hours or within one day at most. In the case of pigmentation spots, they become darker, forming a micro‑crust that naturally detaches from the skin after about 5 to 7 days.
In some way, the patient can apply makeup immediately after the treatment, and returning to work activities is immediate.
Yes. Pregnancy and patients with tanned skin, as well as those with an active infection in the area to be treated.
Since many medications are photosensitizing — meaning they increase the skin’s absorption of light — it is essential to inform the practitioner if you are undergoing any medical therapy.

At our practice, every patient is welcomed with an uncompromising level of excellence. Thanks to cutting-edge techniques and meticulous attention to detail, we offer a unique experience where professionalism and innovation unite for extraordinary results. Care, precision, and a passion for aesthetic well-being are at the heart of everything we do.
